Absolute Legends drop NA team

After recently cheating in the Season 3 online qualifiers, the NA team for Absolute Legends has been dropped.
C.O.O of Absolute Legends, “Hammer” gave a message in the announcement denouncing the team’s behaviour.
What transpired in the BO3 against Team Dynamic is completely unacceptable. We were excited about working with both RobertxLee and Zekent, and as you might have known we were in the process of signing additional players.Needless to say, recent events have led us to discontinue our affiliations with the team. aL as an organization had no knowledge that the cheating took place until the newspost on ggC, and we do not condone cheating in any way – regardless of which excuses there might be.I think it’s safe to say that most people wouldn’t expect this from them, but nevertheless it happened. We wish every single player the best for their future.
And former aL player, “ROBERTxLEE” was apologetic about the incident.
Just wanted to say sorry for disappointing our fans and most importantly Absolute Legends. We got caught up in the heat in the moment and it impaired our judgment to make such a stupid decision. Hopefully, we can clear things and one day play for Absolute Legends again. Until then, I wish them the best of luck in the future.
Overall, a sad end to a sad incident, made even worse (Or funnier depending on your perspective) by the fact that aL lost their best of 3 game anyway.
Just remember kids, cheaters never prosper. Unless you’re Azubu Frost that is.

Wonderful blog you have here but I was wondering if you
knew of any community forums that cover the same topics talked about here?
I’d really love to be a part of group where I can get responses from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Kudos!
“Unless you’re Azubu Frost that is”
Best, ever!
Fkn Azubu.
@CynicalEffect
I also apologize for what was kinda lashing out at you, I just felt that the moment that it happened and the backlash afterwards that it kinda seemed moot, especially with this article where there was far more cheating and the team still lost.
But then again that’s how it is in the LoL community these days, it’s like a “Hate or be Hated” mentality that I don’t think the game will ever overcome.
As for the article I do happen to agree with what was stated and I’m glad aL did something about it. While Zekent did come clean, I think his reputation in the LoL community as being a good nice guy is forever tarnished with this, but I do hope the guy can bounce back.
@CaptainDerp
While TSM strictly broke the rules. I wouldn’t say they cheated and they certainly didn’t prosper from it. However, this article wasn’t meant to be about the TSM/Azubu fiasco, I just couldn’t think of a better ending line! Kind of regret putting it in now as it seems to have distracted everybody from the original topic.
@CynicalEffect
if you are referring to their win against TSM then you should also note that Dyrus himself did it and caused a reset, and when Frost did look and TSM has admitted to them being caught, why did they not ask for another reset because they caught them looking? Cause that itself was them breaking the rules as they turned their heads to see him looking up. Just be thankfull they didn’t get fined either.
@talon
Thank you for your kind comment. Considering the only errors were “game” instead of “gave” and Blaze instead of Frost, I really don’t think a spellchecker would have done much. While admittedly I shouldn’t have made those mistakes, typos happen.
@akito
What wasn’t objective about it?
They DID cheat. They did benefit from it.
@talon
And you were worthless til they buffed BC, but no one raged at you.
@d3so
At their level of the game that’s about the same as saying “Well, Soccer’s just kicking a ball around.”
At the local park, being played by some kids? Soccer’s just a game too, but teams put months/years of practice into it to refine their skills and then compete against each other and it’s a sport.
It is a competition and the eSports scene has been growing so much in the last few years.
So much drama in LoL. It’s just a game.
GG noob team…cheat, still lose then become history. No one will miss you!
lol the writing in this article is horrible, have you ever used spell check?
@akito
Considering the fact that they did indeed cheat.

CynicalEffect added it in for a little humor… please be informed.
And as such, your entire credibility goes out of the window because of your racist, homophobic ignorance. I do hope that you remove yourself from the world instead of continuing to contaminate the gene pool with your hate and ignorance.
Well it’s a fact that they cheated. Also a fact that they have prospered.
And if you think “witty one liners” (I’m also assuming you’d have a problem with irony, satire, puns, and probably most metaphors) aren’t “respectable”, or common in fact, then you don’t read much journalism.
The two faggots above me need to calm the fuck down. It was a fucking joke, except it wasn’t because all of the Azubu’s are cheating gook faggots who not only cheat but probably cut in line at the pork fried rice shack as well.
gg slants
What was this cheating about ?
That’s nice and cute that you accuse azubu of constant cheating. I sense much fanboyism in you instead of objective journalism. As a journalist, you should really hang back on the “witty” one liners and stick to objective based articles. This might make you seem more… Respectable in the field of journalism.
You misspelled the word “Frost” at the end. Blaze didn’t make it to Season 2 worlds.
