Riot Lays Down Some Lifetime Bans
In the past few months we’ve seen Riot cracking down on toxic players in the professional scene. Harsh punishments have hit IWillDominate, Absolute Legends, Linak, and Envision. However, today, the hardest swing of Riot’s banhammer has come crashing down on Team Solo Mebdi.
Khaled “StunnedandSlayed” Abusagr and Nicolaj “Veigodx” Jensen have received lifetime bans and as of today are ineligible to compete in any Riot-affiliated events indefinitely. A third member of the team, Simon “Rayt3ch” Näslund, has received the standard one year ban from competitive play. Naturally this means Team Solo Mebdi will not be playing in the European LCS Qualifier.
StunnedandSlayed was reported in an absurd 18% of total matches and has had three other accounts permabanned in the past. One account is the infamous DarkwinJax, who has the highest harassment score ever recorded in the history of the EU West server. To add to the ridiculousness, he was reported over 1000 times during a 375-game period and threatened to physically assault a Riot employee. Jensen was completely unapologetic for his past actions and as seen above, has been caught engaging in DDoS attacks. He’s also been banned twice in the past under the names Wizikx and Wizikodex. While Rayt3ch was the least serious offender he’s still in the worst 0.01% of all European accounts.

Anyone else notice that he has not DDoS’d anyone in that screen shot? …yet. Also That is a whole lot of reports. Riot could probably hand out bans before the 1000 report mark.

as a side note. I played 4000 games in season 2. I play alot. so when i am trolling… there is a reason -_- … I am having a bad day and people are being rude to me. I dont troll for no reason. I always do my best to add to team morale, and to win ^^
This is different. These guys.. seems like they go out of there way to be toxic, they dont care if they are. I know sometimes I am… I can’t help it sometimes. My jungler goes 0-8 before 15 mins in… the last game some kid was callling me a faggot noob troll feeder even though i pentakill and carry. Sometimes I am just mad, and i cant help but be in a bad mood. And yeah, i would like to set a better example for the newer summoners, and i would like to say, hey, don’t do this. But I am flawed… These guys… they sound like genuine trolls. like seriously… who hacks people over video games?…. u got ur butt kicked? Umad? pfft…. The only reason i become a toxic player….. is because of people like this… these guys who are genuine trolls.. who troll every game… I want to have a good competitive game with skilled opponents every match… but these guys ruin it.

I think Riot should start hiring someone more mature to ban people who understand why people get reported why the number of reports is not that important, and that sometime people get mad it`s fucking normal when you work your ass off and someone comes and ruins your game, tell me one person who never got mad in his lifetime and i give you one million dollar, start looking at sports it happends all the time. I laughed so hard when i saw that more tards are getting banned. These people contribute nothing to the game, and frankly they dont deserve to be playing it.

@HawkeyeSnipes Umm no. When you are most reported person in 375 games, that is bad. Pro players keep saying/others saying that they are like pro athletes. But yet, they do things like this. Some might even think that because they are “pro” means they won’t get banned and can do whatever they choose to.
Riot did the right thing and banned all of them. And for one, I’m sure they got e-mails warning their accounts that they have been banned from. It was their choice to continue to do this kind of stuff.

Not necessarily. Riot does not oversee small 1-2 week bans. Many times the tribunal fucks it up, as it is not Riots decision. But saying gtfo out of my jungle, in my opinion is just trash talk.

I have zero problems with Riot doing stuff like this when the players clearly deserve it. This is another case where Riot needed to do something and they chose the right thing. If anyone disagrees, then they need to take a look at themselves and their attitudes first.
Riot only shows the terrible cases. People are banned daily for the smallest of offences. The tribunal needs to grow a pair imo.
