Changes to current HP bar:
Currently HP squares on the PBE represent 200 HP, up from 100. After every 1000 HP you get a thick black line indicating it, as shown on the screen below.
Here’s some more insight on the matter by Xelnath, Game Systems Designer:
We are experimenting with this, it won’t be going out in the next patch.
We feel that 200 hp bars are far more readible in the level 5-13 range, but the transition is a bit rough. We really feel that showing precise health in the 2k-3k range is very important after the Season 3 changes.

I really like the Sona art, but it makes my Sona skin look like crap ;_;
the health bars make it even more inaccurate prior to <3k esp early on it is extremely hard to guess health this is especially for mid laners and adcs
@Dyrus , @animorf
both your reasons sound legit anyways, problem is; everyone is gunna think it’s just another rip off from the way dota2 represents health. I don’t really care if it is actually a rip off, all I care about is that it’s gunna make this game a bit better.
If you think Lois`s story is amazing,, five weeks ago my daughter in law also got paid $6778 workin a 20 hour week from there house and there roomate’s ex-wife`s neighbour has done this for 8-months and got paid over $6778 part-time on their labtop. apply the advice available on this page Great60.comTAKE A LOOK
@Dyrus
That is a nerf to a buff they made on PBE. It is still a nerf in relation to live.
They’re actually nerfing Nasus? What the hell is up with that? It’s his range too which he already struggles with.
@animorf
Actually 2 bold 2 thin would be 2400. l2newsystem.
morf was simply having a fun time posting here, animorf was the dude that came out fists swinging, so stfu
@Zaru
Love how this is the internet. Ignore someone’s opinion? lol. That’s a funny joke
@Dyrus
i love it when someone acts like a dick to someone just because they posted something they don’t like, learn to read and ignore it’s his opinion stfu and move on.
the hp bars are exactly like the ones in DotA 2
@animorf
I love when you’re retarded and you think your smart or something. The real reason they are changing health bars to 200 health each is because late game health bars visually cap at 3k health. They are doing this so it can cap at 6k.
plz dont do the hp bar changes, looks so dumb….
@morf
Have you actually paid attention to the HP bars as they are currently? It’s one notch for every 100 HP. Mid to late game it’s almost impossible to get an accurate read on an enemy’s health what with all the action going on. Changing the notches to 200, and a bold notch every 1000 is brilliant. 2 bold, 2 thin. 2200 HP. As opposed to 22 thin notches that are hard to read when they’re jammed together?
I love it when people think. I just love it.
Hi, why can’t i buy iBlitzcrank on PBE ? He’s not in the shop…
Does riot have a legit reason for the HP bars? I’m hoping someone just wasn’t bored or created a fluff project for busy work… <1000 looks dumb imo…
I think making HP bars into 200 should be like an option. Not permanent. I like it the way it is right now.
I like the new Sona art
About the health bars, I liked the 100 bars for early levels, but maybe around the levels that Xelnath said, 5-13, that is when the bars could be changed from the 100 bars to the 200.
Please let them not implement this, everything looks so squishy, that’ll take forever to get used to ._.
