The results of the IEM San Jose European Community vote were announced Thursday, September 17, with Fnatic and Origen leading the vote by sizeable margins. Fnatic and Origen finished first and second place respectively in the European LCS Summer Split, and both teams will be competing at the 2015 World Championship.


Consisting of the top six teams from the European LCS, the two teams will head to San Jose to play for $50,000. Voting for the North American side has opened with the top six teams from the North American LCS.

IEM San Jose takes place on November 21st and 22nd, where six teams from around the world will compete for $50,000 and a shot at the IEM World Championship.

Riot Games has just announced that they will be hosting a Six team international competition in Tallahassee, Florida, on May 7-10, 2015.

Five participating teams are chosen by winning their split playoffs in the EU LCS, LCK, LMS, LPL, and NA LCS. The sixth and final spot will go to the winner of the International Wild Card Invitational (IWCI), another new event to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, in late April.

Top talent from around the globe will compete in a single round-robin Group Stage on May 7-8. The top four teams from the Group Stage will advance to Best of 5s bracket stage on May 9-10 for a chance to be crowned the winner.

The four days of League of Legends action will take place in Tallahassee, Florida, at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center located at Florida State University.



Official Riot Announcement


With CJ Entus filling the final slot of the IEM World Championship, the official groups have been announced.

The group stage will be composed of two groups of double elimination play. Each group will feature one team per region with a mix of two previous IEM winners – Cloud 9 and Gambit Gaming.

The Group Stage begins Friday, March 13th.
