  • [New] Bloodrage: Darius now enters Bloodrage for 5 seconds whenever an enemy champion reaches max Hemorrhage or dies to Noxian Guillotine. During Bloodrage, Darius gains 40-200 bonus Attack Damage and applies max Hemorrhage to enemies hit.
  • Bleed now deals physical damage instead of magic
  • Base bleed damage per stack decreased from 12-36 to 10-27
  • Darius no longer gains bonus Movement Speed if enemy champions are bleeding

  • New Passive – Dragon Force: Dealing damage to the Dragon curses it for 10 seconds. If Mordekaiser’s team kills a cursed target, Mordekaiser gets a ghost of that target that has 30% the stats of a regular Dragon
  • Ghost duration increased from 45 seconds at all ranks to 45/60/75
  • Additionally, Mordekaiser gains 30% of his ghost’s AP and 25% of its bonus Health
  • The ghost is granted 10/25/50 bonus AD and bonus Health equal to 15% of Mordekaiser’s maximum Health

New Item BoxCrystal Spires Final IconCrystal Spires [ New Passive ]

  • Skarner’s presence causes crystals to spawn in set locations around the map. Crystals can be captured by either team by standing on top of them. Capturing prevents them from being captured by the opposing team for 15 seconds
  • While near active crystals, Skarner gains 100 flat Movement Speed, 42% [+6% per level] Attack Speed and restores 3% of his maximum Mana per second
  • If an enemy caps a Crystal Shrine alone, they will receive 5 gold.

 

Crystal capture specifics:

  • Crystals remain captured permanently for the capturing team until recaptured by the opposing team
  • Capturing a crystal grants 15g to players that helped capture it
  • Crystals are locked out of being recaptured for 10 seconds after being captured
  • While on the 10 second lockout, crystals provide vision in a medium area around them (and provide no other vision the rest of the time)
  • If a member of the team owning the crystal is standing on the crystal, it cannot be captured

  • Mana cost decreased from 50/55/60/65/70 to 55 at all ranks

UNIQUE Passive – Crushing Blow: Basic attacks discharge all Momentum, dealing 1 physical damage per 2 stacks. If 100 stacks are discharged the passive deals double damage. Melee attacks at 100 stacks will also apply a 75% slow that decays over 1 second.

UNIQUE Passive – Cleave: Basic attacks deal 5 plus 1% of your maximum health as bonus physical damage on hit to your target and 40 plus 2.5% of your maximum health as physical damage in a cone to other enemies in a cone.

UNIQUE Active – Crescent: Your next basic attack deals physical damage equal to 40 plus 10% of your maximum health in a larger cone on hit (20 second cooldown, Cleave doesn’t apply to this attack).

Last year, we introduced Match History to the web and soon we’re bringing a good chunk of that functionality to the client. While the web experience will remain the place to go for shareable (show-offable?) links, runes, masteries and item build orders, we’re bringing the lion’s share of Match History to the client:

  • 20 viewable matches, up from the previous 10
  • A more complete scoreboard that now shows trinket, creep score, and total kill and gold breakdowns per team
  • Match timelines with timestamped neutral objectives, tower falls, and kills
  • Gold advantage graphs
  • Kill maps that show the location of each and every kill for each player

This update shifts what types of matches will show up in the client. As a reminder, we believe competitive matches should be open information, so everyone’s ranked games (even Bjergsen ‘s) will be up for analysis through Match History. Your less tryhard normal queue matches will only be viewable by you and your friends, just like Match History on the web.

We still have a few minor changes to make before going to live and don’t expect this to make it into 5.3. We just wanted to put it on the PBE early to hear your thoughts.

New Game Mode - Ascension

A new game mode on the Crystal Scar mode will be coming with Patch 4.16, featuring sandstorms and Xerath:

This time we’re bending the rules quite a bit for one of our most competitive game modes yet, so bear with us as we get into it!

 

  • Ascension is a 5v5 brawling skirmish played on the Crystal Scar.
  • The sands have restricted movement on the Crystal Scar to just the center of the map. You’ll need to use the new ‘Golden Transcendence’ trinket to teleport to a battle platform and enter the fray.
  • Victory is points based. The first team to earn 200 points wins!
  • Points can be earned by killing enemy players (1 point), capturing Relics of Shurima (3 points) or killing an Ascended (5 points).
  • At the sandstorm’s center in the middle of the map is an Ancient Ascendant, Xerath. Defeating him grants Ascension to whomever strikes the killing blow. Ascension gives you awe-inspiring power and double points for every kill you get! This power comes at a price though… all healing effects on the Ascended are dramatically reduced, so burn fast and burn bright!

Some announcement VO sounds are missing. We’ll have these in shortly. o^_^o
Air-client background and loading screen art is still WIP.

Azir sends all Sand Soldiers toward a target location. Sand Soldiers deal 60/90/120/150/180 (+0.5 AP) magic damage to all enemies they pass through and apply a stacking 20% slow for 1 second.

ar-wAzir summons a Sand Soldier for 9 seconds. When Azir attacks an enemy in a soldier’s range, the soldier attacks instead of Azir, dealing (+0.7 AP) magic damage to enemies in a line. Soldiers attack even if Azir himself isn’t in basic attack range.

Azir can store up to 2 Sand Soldiers at a time. A new soldier becomes available once every X second. Moving too far away from soldiers deactivates them. Sand Soldiers expire twice as fast when near an enemy turret.


Shifting Sands [ E ]

Cost: 60 Mana || Range: 1100 || Cooldown: 19/18/17/16/15 seconds

ar-eAzir dashes to one of his Sand Soldier, damaging enemies hit for 60/90/120/150/180 (+0.4 AP) magic damage and knocking them up for 0.5 seconds. If Azir hits an enemy champion, he stops and gains a 4 second shield that absords 60/100/140/180/220 (+ AP) (+15% of bonus Health) damage.


Emperor’s Divide [ R ]

Cost: 100 Mana || Range: 250 || Cooldown: 140/120/100 seconds

ar-rAzir summons a wall of armored soldiers that charge forward, knocking back enemies and dealing magic damage. The soldiers then remain as a wall for 5 seconds.

Enemies will be stopped by Emperor’s Divide, even if they attempt to dash over the wall, butAzir and his allies can pass freely and gain 20% movement speed for 1 second when they pass through the wall.

Emperor’s Divide does not interact with Azir’s basic attacks or spells.

The intrepid young adventurer Ezreal has explored some of the most remote and abandoned locations on Runeterra. During an expedition to the buried ruins of ancient Shurima, he recovered an amulet of incredible mystical power. Likely constructed to be worn by one of the Ascended, the enormous talisman nonetheless fit snugly upon his arm, amplifying his raw sorcerous skill to such an extent that he’s gained the reputation of a hero, much to his embarrassment.

  • Utility: Now refunds its mana cost plus an additional 3% of Cassiopeia’s total mana when it kills a unit.
  • Usability: Now has additional checks in place to see if target was poisoned.

STASHU New PortraitHey guys! Coupled with all these other upcoming Shurima releases, we’ve got an update to Cassiopeia for ya. Cassiopeia has always had some really cool stuff on her kit, and we saw this as a great opportunity to polish her up and really accentuate her interesting strengths. Here’s what we’re hoping to accomplish with these changes:

 

  • Emphasize Cassiopeia’s carry potential

Cassiopeia has always been thought of as one of the highest potential damage sources in League of Legends, so we’ve taken this opportunity to really push her into that niche. Alongside this is giving her a unique and powerful endgame goal– take a look at her new passive for more information here.

  • Increase reliability

The reset mechanic on Twin Fang often feels like it doesn’t work properly, even when it does. So, we’re adding a few tweaks here to make Twin Fang just a touch more reliable– and from what we’ve seen, even a little bit of reliability on Cassiopeia goes a longggg way.

  • Tone down her lane bullying

Historically, when Cassiopeia has been strong, her laning was oppressive to the point of being problematic. We’re looking to fix this by toning down some of her early power and making space to give her very powerful tools for the late game.

  • Channel her damage potential into her single target spell, Twin Fang

We plan on giving Cassiopeia a lot of late game power– way too much to comfortably fit into her spammable aoe spells. Don’t worry though, Noxious blast and Miasma are still going to be very important and impactful spells, but we’ll be shifting some of their damage into utility so as to allow Cassiopeia better access to her E.

 

And that’s it. I’m sure Cassiopeia veterans out there have some concerns about some of these damage changes, so I’d like to highlight a few things.

  • The reliability change to Twin Fang cannot be understated
    • This has huge implications on her DPS potential. More E’s with a higher ratio = more DPS. For anyone used to playing Cassiopeia, you’ll notice a difference immediately.
  • Much of her kit has been restructured to make Twin Fang more accessible
    • 30% CDR, buffed movespeed on Q, a buffed slow on W, and a lower cooldown on R all come together to make Cassiopeia’s damage more readily available.
    • Additionally, the life on hit on Twin Fang allows Cassiopeia to stay in fights for longer periods of time, much like lifesteal does for AD carries. This means Cassiopeia will be free to do more damage over the course of a fight.
  • Aspect of the Serpent grants Cassiopeia significant AP in the late game
    • This’ll help make up for some of the base damage tuning, but also simply give her more damage than ever before at full build

So! Please let us know what it feels like to play with this new passive. I’m particularly interested in the following: Does “Aspect of the Serpent” change the way you think about the laning phase while playing Cassiopeia? Does Cassiopeia feel particularly powerful in the late game as a result of her passive? How do the usability changes to Twin Fang feel?

Lastly, as with most content on the PBE, keep in mind that many aspects of Cassiopeia are still works in progress– which means some things might look a bit weird, and others will likely be a little buggy. We’re already working on a lot of this, and we’d love to hear your feedback in case there’s anything not already on our radar.

Rage Gene [ Passive ]

While in combat Gnar generates Fury. At maximum Fury, his next ability will transform him into Mega Gnar, granting increased survivability and access to new spells.

 

Boomerang Throw / Boulder Toss [ Q ]

Range: 1100 || Cooldown: 20/17.5/15/12.5/10 seconds

Mini Gnar: Throws a boomerang that deals 10 / 45 / 80 / 115 / 150 (+ 1.0 AD) physical damage and slows Movement Speed by 15/20/25/30/35% for 2 seconds before returning towards Gnar. Enemies hit beyond the first take 50% damage.

The returning boomerang will accelerate and can travel up to 2000 units. If Gnar catches it, the cooldown of Boomerang Throw is reduced by 60%.

Mega Gnar: Throws a boulder that stops when it hits an enemy, slowing all nearby enemies and dealing 10/50/90/130/170 (+) physical damage.

Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds. If Gnar picks up his boulder, the cooldown of Boulder Toss is reduced by 60%.

 

Hyper / Wallop [ W ]

Mini Gnar: Passive: Every 3rd attack or spell on the same target deals an additional 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 (+ 1.0 AP) + 6/8/10/12/14% of max HP as magic damage and grants Gnar 30% Movement Speed that decays over 3 seconds (max 75/125/175/225/275 damage vs. monsters). Gnar gains Hyper’s speed bonus whenever he turns from Big to Small.

Mega Gnar: Stuns enemies in an area for 1.25 seconds, dealing 25 / 45 / 65 / 85 / 105 (+ 1.0 AD) physical damage.

 


Hop / Crunch [ E ]

Range: 475  || Cooldown: 18/16.5/15/13.5/12 seconds

Mini Gnar: Leaps to a location, gaining 20/30/40/50/60% Attack Speed for 3 seconds. If Gnar lands on a unit he will bounce off of it, traveling further. Deals 20 / 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 (+ 6% of Gnar’s max HP) physical damage and slows briefly if the unit landed on was an enemy.

Mega Gnar: Leaps to a location and deals 20 / 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 (+ 6% of Gnar’s max HP) physical damage to all nearby enemies on landing. Enemies Gnar lands directly on top of are slowed briefly.

If Crunch is the ability used to trigger the Rage Gene, Gnar will still be able to perform Hop’s bounce. Gnar will apply Crunch’s area of effect both upon hopping from a unit and upon hitting the ground, although enemies can only be damaged once.

Range: 590 || Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds

Mini Gnar: Passive: Increases Hyper’s Movement Speed bonus to 45/60/75%.

Mega Gnar: Knocks all nearby enemies in the specified direction, dealing 200 / 300 / 400 (+ 0.2 bonus AD) physical damage and slowing them by 45% for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds. Any enemy that hits a wall takes 300 / 450 / 600 (+ 0.3 bonus AD) physical damage and is stunned for 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 seconds.

“The jungle does not forgive blindness. Every broken branch tells a story.

I’ve hunted every creature this jungle has to offer. I was certain there were no challenges left here, but now there is something new. Each track is the size of a tusklord; its claws like scimitars. It could rend a man in half. Finally, worthy prey.

As I stalk my prize through the jungle, I begin to see the damage this thing has wrought. I step into a misshapen circle of splintered trees. These giant wooden sentinels have stood over this land for countless ages, their iron-like hides untouched by the flimsy axes of anyone foolish enough to attempt to cut them down. This thing brushed them aside like they were twigs.

How can a creature with this level of strength disappear so easily? And yet, even though it has left this unmistakable trail of destruction, I have been unable to lay my eye upon it. How can it appear like a hurricane then fade into the jungle like the morning mist?

I thrill in anticipation of finally standing before this creature. It will make a tremendous trophy.

Passing through the clearing, I follow the sound of a stream to get my bearings once more. There I see a small shock of orange fur, crouching, waiting. I spy on it from a distance. A tiny fish splashes out of the stream and the creature scrambles for it, diving gleefully into the rushing water. To my joy, I realize it’s a yordle. And a hunter, at that!

This is a good omen. The beast will be found. Nothing will escape me.

The yordle’s large ears perk up and face towards me. He runs on all fours with a bone boomerang in hand, quickly stopping in front of me. He babbles.

I nod in appreciation at the young yordle and venture onwards. I traverse the difficult terrain with ease, trying to pick up any sign of my quarry. As I try to pick up his scent, a distraction. I’m startled by strange chittering. The yordle followed me. I cannot allow him to disrupt my hunt. I face him and point into the distance. He looks at me quizzically. I need to be more insistent, good omen or no.

I rear back and let out a roar, the wind whipping the yordle’s fur and the ground rumbling beneath us. After a few short seconds, he turns his head and, with what I think could be a smile, he holds up his small boomerang. There can be no further delay. I snatch the weapon out of his hand and expertly throw it into a tree, impaling it high amongst the branches. He turns and scrambles for it, jumping frantically.

I barely get ten paces when a roar shakes me to my very spine. The deafening crack of stone and wood echoes all around. Ahead, a giant tree crashes across my path. The bone weapon of the yordle juts out from its trunk.

An unearthly growl rises behind me.

I’ve made a terrible mistake.”
